Mountain Culture was founded to commemorate the first successful ascent of the world's highest peak and to carry forward the skills, ethics and spirit of Himalayan climbing.
Over the decades, the institute has grown into an internationally recognised training ground — often called the "Mecca" of mountaineering — training thousands of climbers and adventure enthusiasts from across Southeast Asia and the world.
Our curriculum blends tested alpine technique with modern teaching so that every graduate carries genuine mountain culture forward.
Guided by eminent leaders and a dedicated board, the institute runs year-round training, expedition and welfare programmes.
